Kemag K40 nominated
for the 2026 Compasso d'Oro

After being selected for the ADI Design Index 2025, the K40 machine developed by Kemag is now among the projects competing for the 2026 Compasso d’Oro, the most prestigious award in Italian industrial design.

The award, promoted by ADI - Association for Industrial Design, is assigned to products that represent the excellence of Italian design internationally.

Selection in the ADI Design Index is the first step toward nomination for the Compasso d'Oro.

The designer's contribution
Pietro Camardella

The design of the K40 was developed by Pietro Camardella, an Italian designer with extensive experience in industrial design.

His work helped transform a complex industrial machine into a project where functionality, ergonomics and technical aesthetics integrate coherently.

The machine's compact structure and vertical design optimize space on production lines while maintaining a recognizable formal identity.

Toward the 2026 Compasso d'Oro

Being selected for the Compasso d'Oro is an important milestone not only for Kemag, but also for the industrial automation sector.

The path toward the award values projects capable of combining technological innovation, design quality and impact on the production system.

The K40 nomination shows how, even in industrial machinery, design can become a strategic element for improving functionality, safety and operator interaction.

A first step toward
the 2026 Compasso d'Oro

Selection in the ADI Design Index is also the first step on the path that can lead to nomination for the Compasso d'Oro, the most important international award dedicated to Italian industrial design.

For Kemag, this result confirms the value of its vision: developing advanced technological solutions where engineering and design work together.
